Checking in and out of Cedarwood
Check-in Time
Check in time is between 4pm and 6pm. Late arrival is not possible at Cedarwood Apartments.
For the safety of our guests, our staff, and also for the Emergency Volunteers who are members of our tiny community we do not accept arrivals later than 6pm. We don’t want you involved in an accident or delayed by one.
Bogong High Plains Road is the road on which you travel to get to Falls Creek and it is a declared “Hazardous Road”. With ice/snow/trees, and animals on the road after dark it is far more dangerous than traveling during daylight and we chose to not have you, (or us) put at risk on that road. If you can’t get here after work just come the next day when it is safer.
Checking In
At the time of check in; we check the number of guests in your group, gather important information, explain the ins and outs of Cedarwood itself, and copy a driver’s license and Master Card or VISA card for security on the apartment. Please ensure you have your actual driver’s license and Mastercard or Visa card with you when you arrive.
Please ensure that you allow enough time to park the car, go through the ATS terminal, and be brought up to Cedarwood in winter so that you get here before our office closes. At the busier times it can take over an hour to park the car and then get onto an ATS vehicle to come up to Cedarwood. If you think you are going to be cutting it fine please call our office from Mt Beauty before your phone drops out of service on the mountain road up to Falls Creek.;
Check-out
Check out is by 10am. Please ensure that you book your ATS for no later than 10:30am on the day you leave. If your bus is not leaving around our check out time just speak to our reception staff the day before you leave to make a plan.
Luggage
Cedarwood Apartments does not have the capacity to mind your gear before you check in so just leave it in your car and park in the day car park if you are skiing the day you arrive. Once you can check just pop the car into the overnight car park and head on up to Cedarwood.
If your bus is due to arrive before 4pm please contact our office the day of your arrival to make a plan, or you may have to wait with your gear until your apartment is ready and you may have to wait outside in possibly inclement weather.
