November and December Wildfolwer Spectacular Come and see the wildflower spectacular that mother nature puts on during November and December. Photographers and bushwalkers alike are amazed by the beauty of the native flora in arould Falls Creek.
Christmas With Carrols on Chirstmas Eve held in the natural amphitheatre - the village bowl and many venues open for accommodation and Christmas lunch Christmas day with a difference
Free Summer Kids Club Activities from 26th December . Heaps fo great stuff for the kids to do and see with local experts to show them how.
New Years Eve There are many different functions occuring on New Years Eve, many with Live entertainment, and food. As New Years Eve is on a Monday this year why not make it a 3 or 4 day visit and enjoy all that Falls Creek has to offer for more that just a day.
The "Big Fella" festival In its second year this is not to be missed. For over 30,000 years indigenouts Australians have made the journey to the "Big Fella" (Mt Bogong) for a cultural and culinary gathering. Join us for theis exciting celebration with leading indigenous musicians and dancers, bush tucker, art and much more.
Falls Creek Billy Cart Derby Who says you have to be a kid to play with billy carts. Competitors of all ages are working on their carts and driving skills in an effort to collect some of the great prizes and trophies up for grabs, so dust of the billy cart and join in this event that caters for all ages!
A Taste Of Falls Creek - January Come and sample everything that Falls Creek has to offer. From food and wine to activities for everyone. Ride the chairlift and go for a bike ride or walk or simply take in the sights. The village is a buzz with music , food and fun for all ages. As a part of this at Cedarwood you can enjoy tasting some of the Longleat Murchison Wines and Vazzoler cheeses and kick back while doing so on our balcony and enjoy some live entertainment.
Audax Classic Cycling Race January 24th. Come and see these amazing athletes compete in this gruelling leg of the race.
Mile High Dragon Boat Races - 23rd and 24th January. Enter a team of 20 or just come along and watch this great event take place. Free shuttles will take you out to Rocky Valley Dam where the races are held. Enjoy food and drinks provided by the local emergency services and watch or participate in this great event that the whole family can enjoy.
Mile High Tennis Tournament - 13th February This event is for competitors of all standards who compete for this unique title.
Artist Camps 5th to 7th March
NEW FOR 2010 The 3 Peaks Challenge On March 7th take the challenge and ride through the 230Kkm course that circumnavigates the area in this new "European Style" road cycling event. With the sealing of the Bogong High Plains Road complete there has never been a better opportunity to get out ther amongst the breathtaking scenery and challenge yourself. The course starts and finishes at Falls Creek and goes to Hotham, Tawonga Gap, Omeo and Dinner Plain. Get in early for your accommodation as there are already huge numbers of entries.
The Terra Australis Mountain Bike Race - from the 21st or March. The start of this fantastic International Mountain Bike race is in the Falls Creek area taking in the fantastic terrain and scenery and finishes 7 days later on the Ovens river near Wangaratta.
Easter At Falls Creek - 2nd to 5th April. Filled with activities for all ages and of course easter bunny, this is certainly easter with a difference. Cedarwood also hosts the annual display of the "Intimo Ligerie" winter collection in one of our lovely apartments.
Anzac Day Dawn Service 25th April remember those who have fought for the freedom that we now enjoy, form the doorsteps of the heavens.
The Falls Creek Expo and Trade Fair - 5th & 6th of May. For all those in the hospitality trade a chance to see the lates in the industry and place orders for the upcomming winter season.
The Falls Creek Ice Plunge Not for the faint hearted, welcome in the first day of winter with a dip in the icy waters of Australias highest inland lake. You will receive a free T-Shirt for your brave effort and enjoy a BBQ afterwards to warm up.
